Rev. Dr. Lesa Branham – Senior Pastor

Rev. Dr. Lesa Branham is a congregational minister and community leader dedicated to fostering hope, transformation, and faith in action through the teachings of Jesus Christ.
She began her ministry at St. Paul in May of 2026. Prior to her move to Taylor, Michigan, she was a lifelong resident of Springfield, Illinois and served as Lead Pastor of First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, where she cultivated a ministry grounded in spiritual growth, compassionate leadership, and meaningful community engagement.
Before entering ordained ministry, she built a 15-year professional career in public relations, recruiting, professional education, finance, and local government—experience that continues to shape her thoughtful and dynamic leadership style.
Rev. Branham holds a Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary, a Doctorate in Ministry from Liberty University, and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
Her commitment to service extends beyond the church through involvement with numerous nonprofit and civic organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Girls on the Run, and various healthcare and community boards.
She and her husband, Bill, have been married for 28 years and have two adult daughters, Jodi and Kari.
