ST. PAUL MORNING TIDE ANNOUNCEMENTS – July 03, 2022


WELCOME TO ALL SHARING TODAY’S SERVICE IN OUR SANCTUARY OR THROUGH FACEBOOK LIVESTREAMING. 
Our livestreamed 10 a.m. service can be viewed on Facebook at other times as well.  An order of service and the pastor’s full message are downloadable from our church website (stpaulucctaylor.org) with a video recording of our worship together also posted by Sunday afternoon.

THIS MORNING WE SHARE COMMUNION, observing an “open” sacrament welcoming all adult baptized Christians with membership in this congregation not required to partake of the bread and cup.  Those worshiping livestreamed at home with us are invited to make use of bread and juice from their household kitchens which will be consecrated and blessed through communion prayer.

OUR GUEST ACCOMPANIST for this morning’s worship is John Joanette, performing on a newly-acquired grand piano to be dedicated and blessed during a ‘O Happy Day’ service at month’s end.  Organist Sally Sigman is enjoying a vacation weekend with husband Glenn.

OUR SEMI-ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING will be held next Sunday, July 10, immediately after 10 a.m. worship.  Plan on attending this important meeting.

SURF’S UP WITH THIS MORNING’S SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON UPSTAIRS, taught by teaching volunteer Helen St. Louis.  Sunday School children will be learning how they will always find God as they look up and around.

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS STILL SOUGHT to teach single session classes in July or August.  All lesson materials and snacks are provided. A sign-up sheet can be found on the Christian Education Welcome Center desk upstairs. You can also contact Pastor Schalm to secure a date and/or for more information. .

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2022CIRCLE G RANCH’ IS SCHEDULED FOR JULY 25 - 29. Please sign the sheet on the Welcome Center Desk to confirm your child/ren’s participation. VBS registration forms can be found on the St. Paul UCC website.  Yes, friends and neighbors are welcome to join!  Pre-registration helps to ensure that supplies and staffing are sufficiently secured.

FOR THEIR SUMMER MISSION TRIP, AUGUST 15- 20, St. Paul youth will be serving at the Gleaners Food Pantry and Farm (Detroit), Jackson County Animal Shelter, Habitat for Humanity and Imagine Planet, all located in Jackson Michigan, while housed in reserved cabins at the Michindoh Conference & Retreat Center in Hillsdale.  All interested youth should sign up on the youth board and pick up a mission trip information packet.

THE CHURCH OFFICE will be closed Monday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY will meet as usual this Tuesday, July 5, in the West Room, 10:30-12 noon, with printed lessons provided.

NO EXERCISE CLASS Wednesday, July 6.  They will meet in the West Room, Wednesday, July 13, 10:30 a.m.

FOR CONTINUING COVID CAUTION St. Paul worshipers can make use of several roped pews at the center of the sanctuary for the sake of social distancing.  Masks and hand-sanitizer are available at the entrances to the church.
