THANK YOU FOR WORSHPING WITH US onsite or via Facebook livestreamed for this “Roaring Back” Picnic Sunday Service.  Our 10 a.m. service will also be posted on the St. Paul church web site under “Sermons, Bulletins, and Audio Services.”  As we worship today, let’s all seek to social distance, giving each other lots of space without congregating in the aisle, narthex, or vestibule.  Our congregation’s goal is to keep everyone healthy and safe.  Thanks!

THIS MORNING WE INSTALL SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS and volunteers.  We thank them for sharing in this important ministry to the children and youth of our congregation: Mary Hard (Elementary), Sheri Herkimer (Rotation Station Leader), Candace Poet (Elementary), Emily Winter (Elementary), Lori Rogers (6th & 7th grade), Cindy Romas (Rotation Station Leader), Doreen Thompson (Confirmation Class -8th & 9th grade), Debbie Case (Support/ Substitute Teacher), Helen St. Louis (Support/ substitute Teacher)  

OUR ANNUAL CHURCH PICNIC FOLLOWS THIS MORNING’S SERVCE with activities for all ages and a buffet lunch served at 11:45 a.m.  A free-will donation is welcomed for the buffet (individualized servings)—just add it to the basket.  Grilled hot dogs, brats, burgers, pasta salad, corn-on-the-cob, chips, desert, and beverage are all on the menu.  Plan on staying for a great meal, activities, and fellowship.  There’s ice cream too.  All are encouraged to maintain thoughtful social distancing whether in line and with table sitting.  Here’s the schedule:  9:30 Coffee and Donuts * 10 Worship under the Tent * 11 Kids’ Games & Karaoke  11:45 Buffet Lunch * 12:30 Petting Farm * 1:30 Ice Cream Treats * 2 Clean-Up!

YOUTH BIBLE STUDY for post-high school students meets this coming Wednesday, September 15, 7 p.m. at Pastor Schalm’s home.  All post-high school young adults are invited and encouraged to join as we together study the Book of Hebrews.

TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY meets this Tuesday, September 14, 10:30-12 noon, West Room.  All welcome.

OUR YOUTH FELLOWSHIP AND YOUNG ADULT BIBLE STUDY GROUP head to Comerica Park on Tuesday, September 14 for the Detroit Tigers versus the Milwaukee Brewers with first pitch thrown at 6:40 p.m. Complimentary tickets are also available to members of the congregation, first come, first serve basis. Contact Pastor Schalm for free tickets and information.

RUMMAGE SALE DONATIONS may be dropped off at the church beginning, Monday, September 13.  Please place your donations in the appropriate Fellowship Hall table as indicated by the signage.  The sale is upcoming, October 7-9.

CHANCEL CHOIR REHEARSALS CONTINUE Wednesday, September 15, 2021, 7 p.m. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary.  New voices are always welcome.  No auditions necessary.  For more information, please contact Music Director, Tracy Hoffman.
