Recent Sermons at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Taylor

Worship services at St. Paul United Church on Sunday morning, as well as on other occasions, usually include a sermon or homily delivered by our pastor or a guest minister based upon the scriptural lessons for the day.  Sometimes the sermon opens with an immediate explanation and discussion of the bible lessons already read aloud by a lector or reader.  In other instances, however, the sermon begins with a story intended to help put the bible lessons in sensible perspective and context, underscoring the continuing relevance of God's word for us today.  The larger goal of every "morning message" is to provide moral and spiritual guidance for the members of our congregation and to call us each of us a deeper faith in Jesus Christ as "the way, the truth, and the life." (John 14:6)

Pastor Geoffrey Drutchas officiates at worship and preaches on the first, second, and fourth Sunday each month.  A guest minister co-officiates and preaches on the third Sunday monthly.
